How I Work

Supporting clients to find clarity through professional therapy.

Daily life may present certain challenges and stress to us all. You are not alone in this. I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space to explore thoughts and emotions, develop healthier strategies, and work towards a more relaxed and fulfilling life. Whether it is stress, anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationship difficulties, or simply seeking personal growth, therapy can be beneficial. Through the use of evidence-based approaches customised to your unique needs, I ensure compassionate care every step of the way.

Integrative Approach

An integrative therapeutic approach combines a variety of therapeutic theories and techniques, allowing for a more personalised and flexible treatment plan. Rather than relying solely on one method, I draw from multiple tools and strategies to tailor treatment to your needs, preferences, and goals — a progressive, holistic, and highly adaptable method that prioritises your uniqueness to equip you with the insights and skills necessary for lasting, meaningful change.

Approaches I Use

Humanistic Therapy (Person-Centred)

Personal growth, self-acceptance, awareness and confidence. Client-led.

Emphasises empathy, unconditional positive regard, and the therapeutic relationship. We work collaboratively on goals through a supportive environment to explore self and potential.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Exploring unconscious patterns and early life experiences. Benefits current emotional challenges as well as trauma.

Delving into the unconscious mind to understand how childhood and past experiences shape current behaviour and emotions — often exploring childhood, dreams, and recurring life patterns.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Identifying and replacing negative thought patterns and behaviours.

Increasing awareness and recognition of adverse thoughts and behaviours, then challenging and displacing them with healthier alternatives. Typically short-term and goal-oriented.

Mindfulness (Somatic Approach)

Being present and cognizant — can alleviate stress and anxiety, and enhance mind-body awareness.

Incorporates mindfulness practices such as meditation, relaxation, and deep breathing to help you become more aware of your thoughts and feelings without judgement.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

Emotional regulation and improving interpersonal skills. A proven approach for BPD, self-harm, and mood disorders.

Combines elements of CBT with mindfulness and acceptance strategies, teaching skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication.

Family and Couples Therapy

Improving communication and relationships within couples, parents, and families to overcome conflict.

Involves multiple family members or couples working together to resolve conflicts.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

Building solutions rather than dwelling on problems. Short-term and goal-oriented.

Encourages you to envision your preferred future and identify the steps to achieve it.
